We recommend kids start out in low and shift to high when racing. This will protect your requirement longer. Combine this with our 24v battery pack for optimal performance. It is recommended that you change over your circuit to a ESC design which allows you to ramp up the power instead of instantly maxing out the system. This will protect your system for the long haul. Also using the steel gears for the 1st gear in the gearbox is a good design decision. That 1st gear takes a beating in all designs.
