Bayonet U.S. Original WWII Model 1942 AFH dated 1942 ---  WITH FIRE BOMB on the Scabbard...
BAYONET Dated 1942...
--14 1/4 inches LONG overall (Including handle)...
--9- 11/16 LONG BLADE (It does not look like it has been ground down so I do not know where others are coming up with 10 inch blades)...
--3- 1/2 inches WIDE where the hole that the rifle barrel goes thru is located...
--1- 1/6 inch WIDE= BLADE...
SCABBARD
--11- 1/4 inches LONG x 1- 13/16 inches WIDE...
--2- 5/8 inches WIDE, the CLIP that hooks on the belt...
--1- 5/8 inches at the TOP...
--The lock works when put in the SCABBARD, both ways...
--The blade is mostly sharp...
--I do not know for sure if this is a original, or a reproduction... eBay doesn't have a 'I don't know button' for "ol guys" like me...
--Look at the UFA ... Does that look the way it should? (Image #10)... (Please inform and I will put it up so others know)=Well, no one contacted me, so, that must be the way it should be...
--The scabbard has a 'Flaming Bomb' and U.S. mark at the top... (See image #11)...
=Are the scratches on the blade the way it came?.....
=The tip looks like it wasn't ever sharpened, but, that is the only way the blade could be 5/16 shorter then the 10 inches others are claiming for the blade length...
=Was the original blade length 10 inches, or, is it just being 'ROUNDED UP' to 10 inches?
