    Description

Boxed Commemorative "Devil's Brigade" First Special Service Forces V-42 Case Stiletto Knife with Sheath
In 1984, Case stepped up and recognized the honorable men of the FSSF by creating a limited edition of 1,500 commemorative V-42 Stiletto knives.
We've paired it with a sheath and a reproduction
    Indian Crossed Arrow pin, which
would have been worn on the First Special Service Force officers tunic collar.
The stiletto originally came in this well-constructed wooden box lined in a black velveteen fabric adorned with a
First Special Services Force Spearhead logo and red, white and blue ribbon. The box lid is embossed with the same Spearhead logo image.
The sheath, while not originally paired with this commemorative set, is soft, supple leather with functional snap and secure rivets, and perfectly secures the FSSF V-42 Fighting Knife used by the “Devil’s Brigade” in WWII.
We've also included a copy of Special Forces' "calling card," which read "The worst is yet to come."
    The
    1st Special Service Force
    was an elite American–Canadian commando
    unit in World War II,
    under the
command of the United States Fifth Army.
The unit was organized in 1942, and
    fought in Italy and southern
France before being disbanded in December 1944.
These knives were originally purchased from the Case sale by a serious WWII collector and have been lovingly maintained as a part of his collection until now.
    Currently,  #129 remains for sale.
