USA WW2 era American crude "theater" fighting knife 5-in blade, leather scabbard

An interesting and one of a kind WW2 era “theater knife” made from whatever materials were available at hand. The handle is stacked leather wasters/ lt.-brown bakelite spacers with an iron guard and aluminum pommel. The blade is probably a re-purposed butcher knife. The knife kind of looks like MK1 utility knife but the form just not as refined; the knife and scabbard are completely unmarked. This interesting fighter is about 9-1/4″ / 23.5 cm overall; the blade is about 5″ / 12.7 cm; harshly sharpened but razor-sharp still; the tip is intact. All parts are tight with no play. Original handmade leather scabbard is with a keeper fashioned from the standard piece of a "snap-on" strap gear. She scabbard is in OK condition, considering the age; the leather is a bit dry.

WW2 era
American fighting knife – a so-called “theater knife” - made by some unknown soldier or a sailor from whatever materials were available at hand. The handle is made of stacked leather wasters and lt-brown bakelite spacers with an iron guard and solid aluminum pommel. The blade is probably a re-purposed butcher knife. The knife kind of looks like MK1 utility knife but the forms are not as refined. It isn't pretty but it will certainly get the job done; the knife and scabbard are completely unmarked.
This interesting fighter is about 9-1/4″ / 23.5 cm overall; the blade is about 5″ / 12.7 cm; harshly sharpened but razor-sharp still; the tip is intact. All parts are tight with no play.
