    Description

You will be purchasing a very old and unique United States Military issue CATTARAUGUS 225Q Commandos Quartermaster knife with a Unique carved wooden sheath scabbard (we don't believe the sheath was government issue).
The quartermaster knife was an all-around tool as well as combat fighting knife for the United States soldiers during World War II. You can open a can of rations, a wooden crate using the knife as a lever, use the butt end of the knife as a hammer, stab into an oil can, as well as defend yourself with this versatile and utilitarian knife. This very old quartermaster knife appears to have a stacked leather handle with a skull Buster Hammer butt end. We've never seen a Q knife with such a unique sheath, and in the kind of shape this one is in, this is a rare find indeed.
This beautiful piece has survived for many years.  Original owner and history unavailable. Sold as is.
