    Description

Grouping from BM3 Louis Head, who served on the USS Harrison DD-573.  He was awarded a signed certificate from the CO, Commander J H Mahoney, Jr.  showing he participated in the battles of Okinawa, Iwo Jima, Suruga Wan Raid and Third Fleet Empire Strikes on the Japanese homeland destroying trains.  The ship was awarded 11 combat stars.  She was also struck by kamikazes and shot down jap planes.
Included are two of his knifes and scabbard.  The real jewel is his issue red cross folding knife.  All blades are intact and working.  None broken.  Bone or plastic handle, with an in bedded Red Cross.  His name is scratched into the handle.  The other knife is a ship board made knife. The red cross knife has a scabbard and a lanyard with a monkeys fist on the end.  A nice grouping from a ship that saw a lot of action.
