    Description

For your approval, world war II San Antonio Iron Works fighting knife. These knives were made in response from the US military for fighting knives at the beginning of world war II. The knife is based on parts from a 1918 Patton sword.  They would take one Patton sword and cut it into three pieces. The tip of the sword in the center section of the sword we're fitted with a wooden handle. The most desirable are the knives made from the base of the blade and the hilt as this one is. It has a beautiful custom tooled scabbard which is original to the peace. The scabbard is in wonderful condition. The knife is in good condition as well there are some minor surface scratching and a couple of flea bites, very small flea bites on the blade and the spine of the blade. You'll have to look closely to see them.  You can see the original tool marks on the handle where they have converted the handle of the 1918 sword. Overall the condition is excellent everything's right everything's tight. Starting with the low opener and no reserve, guaranteed old and original.
