Condition:
The bayonet is in fair condition considering the age. Grips are wood and worn. There are no major chips or cracks, but there are some minor dings and scratches. The pommel and guard both have rust. Latch works.
There are light nicks with pitting on the blade, and light rust. Some of the finish has come off

Scabbard is in fair shape with no damage to it except for some minor dings and rust around the throat area. Some of the finish has come off. The clasps are in good shape. It is a Navy Scabbard. Please see our photographs for a better understanding of the contents and its condition.
