    Description

    Good condition, original, WWII
    blade marked "CATTARAUGUS 225Q" fighting knife. These knives were made for quartermaster/field use w/a heavy, thick blade for prying open crates and a checkered pommel for hammering. They were popular w/all servicemen and widely used. Length is 10 1/2" w/the blade just over 6". It has light sharpening w/a couple of VERY tiny nicks and an otherwise excellent edge. Shows wear w/most of the finish gone. No rust or pitting. A few dings on the spine. G
    uard is tight. Leather grip shows minor wear, but is in very good solid shape. Pommel is clean and tight. Original leather sheath that is missing the keeper and well worn, but still hanging in there. Very nice workhorse knife here.
