Estate item, good condition, WWII
RH-36 fighting knife. Made by PAL, these knives were one of the most common US fighting knives of World War II. They were issued to all branches of service during the war, and also available as private purchase knives. The handle is in good condition with "Snow" carved in. That's a short form of Snowberger" the original owner's last name.
The finish is well worn, with a dark patina. No rust or pitting. Guard is tight. Leather grip is also in very good shape.
Pommel is clean. Original leather sheath showing wear and has original owner's name and address carved into the back. A nice slice of history!
