Very good condition original WWII US GI
Collins No. 18 fighting knife that has nice manufacturer markings on the left
ricasso. This model was carried by Marine Raiders and used as the V-44 survival
machete knife by the US Army Air Force. 9 3/8” blade has nice original bright
finish with a little gray and brown and has been sharpened. Brass guard has
nice looking patina. Grips have a good tight fit and no damage. Fitted in
correct original Collins No. 13 leather sheath. Leather is soft and supple with
some normal wear. Has some added stitching and rivets near the tip. Nice
Collins No. 18 knife for your collection.
